Clark is a rapidly growing airport, located roughly 80 kilometers north of Metro Manila. You can get some cheap flights from CRK, but you should think twice if it is really worth the hassle.

General Information

The former American airbase is mainly used by low-cost Philippine and regional airlines today, such as Cebu Pacific, Zest Air, Airphil Express, Air Asia, SEAIR, and Tiger Airways. Therefore you can fly to many destinations in the archipelago and neighboring countries, but you will hardly find any intercontinental flights.

Terminal 1 has been modernized and expanded for almost 700 million pesos in recent years, boosting its capacity to 5 million passengers a year. However, many areas are still under construction and/or not well-maintained, and there are very limited seats available in the waiting area.

A second Terminal is currently under construction while a third one is planned for the not so distant future. Additionally, a high-speed train connection from the airport to Manila city is scheduled to be constructed which means that departing from and flying to Clark Airport could become a real alternative within the next ten to twenty years.

The airport website is apparently still under construction and flight schedules can not be checked online.

Getting to Clark can be quite a hassle due to the unpredictable traffic situation, which is why we highly recommend to look for flights from and to Manila Airport instead. If you must fly from Clark, make sure to leave the Megacity early enough. The car drive takes at least 2 to 3 hours. You reach CRK via North Luzon Express Way and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.

Bus operator Philtranco offers three trips daily from Megamall (Pasay City) to CRK. Partas Transportation Company offers bus rides from Cubao Station (Quezon City) to the airport.
