Metro Manila · Mesa Filipino Moderne
Mesa Filipino Moderne, more popularly known as Mesa, is a Filipino restaurant chain that serves yummy Philippine dishes in a comfortable modern setting.
The branch is one of the newer restaurants in Tomas Morato. Unlike many Filipino restaurants in the metro and around the country, Mesa’s choice of chairs makes the chain different from the rest. Couches make dining at the Tomas Morato establishment more comfortable. The ambiance, although Filipino, is quite modern – a reminder to locals that décor made from Philippine materials do not make the place look like old Philippine homes from long ago.
Although its name is the Spanish term for table, integrated in the vernacular during the Spanish colonization of the archipelago, Mesa is a Filipino restaurant through and through. Its service alone would remind one of true Filipino hospitality where every guest is welcomed as if he or she is family.
Another reason to rave about this restaurant is the food and how affordable it is. One can get fresh buko (coconut) juice for just a Euro. The baked scallops in garlic butter sauce are quite heavenly and the Chicken Binakol is also a must-try.
There are other Mesa branches and this includes one in Boracay, Megamall, Southmall, Greenbelt 5, and Ayala Center Cebu.
