Metro Manila · Study in Europe Fair
On 14 November 2012, the European Union held the European Higher Education Fair entitled “European Higher Education Fair 2012: Brighter Prospects” in The Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati. This event was an invitation to Filipinos aspiring to acquire a masters or doctorate degree in EU countries to achieve higher learning in an academic environment that has state-of-the-art research and cutting-edge facilities.
More than the academic achievement advancement, the program seeks to further strengthen the cross-fertilization of ideas across cultures through the exchange of students and make access to higher education in the EU countries as a strategy to further develop cooperation with Asia.
Participating countries include Sweden, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, and France, among others. It was also the 25th Anniversary of the Erasmus Scholarship and Mobility Program which produced successful 200 Erasmus Mundus alumni. There were more than 2000 visitors who attended the event which started at 2:00 pm and ended at 8:00 pm. Each country was given time to present their universities and programs for Filipinos. Afterwards, visitors were ushered to the country booths with representatives ready to answer questions particular to the country, university, and the curriculum of the programs. The representatives were very patient and responsive to the queries of the aspirants which made the entire event a whole success. The instructions were clear on how to go about the application and what to expect from such learning experience.
Congratulations to the organizers and good luck to the applicants of the EHEF Manila 2012!
