Metro Manila · Ma Maison [closed]
Ma Maison had served „Japanese Western Food“, that is, Japanese fusion cuisine adapted to the Westerner's palate.
The most popular item on the menu was the Tonkatsu, a Japanese-style breaded pork cutlet. Best together with an ice cold draft beer, which was served for only 50 Pesos!
The restaurant´s cozy interior was more European than Asian, with rustic wooden furniture and vintage wall hangings. There was an area where one could observe the chefs in the kitchen while waiting.
Ma Maison has more branches in Singapore and Japan, where the restaurant is frequented by many foreigners.
Why Megacitizens Should Pay This Establishment A Visit
The chefs were trained by cooks from Japan, to make sure each dish keeps much of its original character while at the same time giving it a more “globalized” taste. Perfect for those who wanted to get to know Japanese cuisine beyond sushi.
