Metro Manila · [closed] Rastro Tapas Bar
Located in the hip dining complex at The Fort, Rastro sits alongside a number of restaurants that serve international cuisine. While its neighbor Cantinetta offers authentic Italian cooking, Rastro serves authentic Spanish food in real huge servings – one order is enough for two or more.
One of the favorites of this Spanish restaurant's patrons is the unbelievably tender Beef Kebab. Other items one must try include their Pollo Asado Ariero (baked chicken with potatoes, herbs, and garlic) and their Paella a la Catalana. Their Gambas and Croquettas are also quite good and very affordable too.
Aside from the al fresco dining experience that would remind one of the streets of Barcelona sans the umbrellas, the décor inside the Tapas Bar is quite cozy making the restaurant one of the best places to hangout with friends.
Rastro Tapas Bar is owned by a lovely lady who always ensures that all her guests are comfortable. She frequently dines in the restaurant too – a very good sign for those who are afraid of trying out something new while in the metro.
The service is fast, efficient, and friendly. The waiters also engage in small chitchat with the guests – sharing a joke or two while waiting for orders. This kind of friendliness from Rastro’s crew makes the restaurant more appealing than others and also gives a friendlier vibe to the high brow atmosphere of Burgos Circle.
Why Megacitizens Should Pay This Establishment A Visit
This is one of the best places to go to if you are near Burgos Circle. The food is prepared with ingredients bought straight from Spain and yet the prices are reasonable. Rastro also has a selection of fine Spanish wines available at the bar.
