The end of Ramadan on August 9 is celebrated with cultural presentations, special sales, and halal food in places all over Metro Manila.

Eid-Al Fitr, the Muslim festival of fast-breaking at the end of Ramadan, is a public holiday in the Philippines. Filipino Muslims celebrate the day with their families and in mosques such as the Masjid al-Dahab.

To further promote the knowledge of Muslim culture and tradition, NGOs, Islamic embassies, and Philippine government agencies such as the Department of Tourism are jointly organizing activities all over Metro Manila: institutional and cultural exhibits, a trade fair with products from Mindanao, a fashion exhibit on traditional Muslim attires, and halal menus in some of the city's high class hotel restaurants .

Among the mall chains with sales and activities are SM (SM North, Bicutan, Quiapo, Davao, Lanang, GenSan), Robinsons (Robinsons Place and Starmills in Pampanga) and Ayala (Glorietta 2, Trinoma, and Market Market)

The restaurants offering halal food are: Bacolod Chicken Inasal in Greenhills, Coffee Shop of Bayview Park Hotel, Café in the Park of Century Park Hotel, Riviera Café of Heritage Hotel, Market Café of Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino and Circles of Makati Shangri-La.
