Metro Manila · Hundred Islands National Park
124 little islands, beautiful beaches, snorkeling, and just a few hours away from Metro Manila. Hundred Islands may just be the perfect weekend destination for Megacitizens!
Many of the islands are just impressive limestone rocks that visitors cannot set their foot on but these distinctive mushroom-like islands surely are a sight to see. Other islands in this part of the Philippines await visitors with a wide range of natural and man-made attractions: hidden beaches, caves and tunnels, a lookout with 360° view of the archipelago, colorful reefs, little stalls offering halo-halo and buko juice, and even a zip-line from one island to the other. A scary yet fascinating sight is Bat Island; its trees are filled with hundreds over hundreds of large, black bats, hanging from the bare branches and sleeping in the light of day.
Tours and Accommodation
You can just book an island hopping day tour right at the wharf and stay in one of the small hotels in Alaminos City or one of the resorts nearby. Another option is to book an overnight trip that includes camping on one of the main islands - for those who want to feel like a contestant of the popular TV show Survivor Philippines, which was shot in Hundred Islands. If you don't feel like camping, Quezon Island and Governor Island have bamboo cottages for rent. For information on prices for cottages, picnic tables and other facilities on the islands, click here.
Unless you book a tour package beforehand, prices for motorboats are standardized by the City of Alaminos, which saves you the hassle of haggling:
